Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, who mopped out the line between small and big screen with his debut in TV’s fiction space with ’24’, is all set to poise the standard again with the exceedingly projected second season of the show. Anil Kapoor played the role of Anti-Terrorist Unit chief Jai Singh Rathore in the first season of ’24’ and will reprise the role. He took to twitter to disclose the first look of the second season. About the second season, it’s being believed that there would be new faces and new characters. “We will have a new star cast; a lot of new people are going to be there,” Anil Kapoor had said.
“It is a far more complicated plot than the show’s first season. The drama quotient has been upped a lot. It is a very different format with a different tone. I am glad that the first season was accepted well and now we have a second season coming up,” Niranjan Iyengar, who has penned dialogues for the show, was cited as saying. Anil Kapoor brought the rights to ‘desi’ version of the American show ’24’ to Indian TV screens via Colors in 2013.
A new-fangled concept, with high production values, an exciting line-up of actors like Shabana Azmi, Tisca Chopra and Mandira Bedi, and the show socked a chord with viewers. The show brought a stimulating alter on television not just in terms of the concept but production values as well.
