Chhapra (Bihar): Prime Minister Narender Singh Modi has recently commented on the slow growth and ignorance on the part of RDJ and JDU government in Bihar due to its backwardness. The successive government which had been ruling in Bihar for the past 25 years, had not created enough job opportunities for the youth in the state, claimed Modi.
Addressing the first of four election rallies at Maraurah on Sunday, 80 km from Patna, Modi promised development that will change the face of Bihar if BJP was voted to power. “Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad are responsible for forcing people to leave the state. They made migrants of the youths of Bihar,” Modi accused Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders at the election rally.
Addressing the people in Bihar, Modi said that the successive government had not done any progress to generate economic development. They have not encouraged investors to create opportunities for the citizens of the state. The ongoing elections in Bihar will see the third round battling for 50 of the 243 Assembly constituencies.
Modi presented his thoughts for the future of the state by saying, “If the BJP-led NDA comes to power in Bihar, I will soon look into how to develop Bihar by attracting investors to set up industries. We will make Bihar a developed state,” Prime Minister added.
In his thundering speech he said, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad were to be blamed for the state’s backwardness. “In the last 25 years Bihar has got no electricity, no development. It is the only state where electricity has not reached a majority of villages. We talk of development in our election rallies but they (Lalu and Nitish) talk of ‘Modi and Modi’.”
The BJP Mascot said Lalu Prasad’s RJD should be known as “Rashtriya Jadu Tona Dal”. This statement was said to mock Lalu’s earlier claim that he was the biggest tantric in the country. Few days before the advent of the third phase, Nitish Kumar’s video went viral where a tantric was raising slogans for him. In response to the video, JD-U leader Ajay Alok said that it was total nonsense. “BJP has come to such a level to play politics…BJP has no option but forced to resort to such silly things. Do only BJP leaders have a right to visit tantric or offer prayers?” he said. The battle of words have gone on since then and will be seen continuing till the fifth phase of elections.
In his speech the BJP-led government aimed at providing facilities that were denied by the present government. Their proposition includes health facility, infrastructure, education and job opportunity for youth and basic necessity like clean water facility in Bihar.
