The LG G3 is all set for receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update next month. The arrival of the update would be seen between the 16th of December and 18th of December and it would start with Poland.
As per a report from Poland, it is stated that the update for LG G3 is in the final stages of testing. Later, the article was updated a quote of Jaroslaw Bukowski was included. He stated that it was almost ready. As per the report, the update would be 1st rolled out in Poland and then other regions.
For LG, skipping updates is not anything new as Android 5.0 Lollipop update too was rolled out directly with G3 directly from Android 4.4.2 KitKat and completely misses out on 4.4.4 KitKat and v4.4.3. Notably, LG G3 was tipped last month for receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, after it was spotted with LG G4. Until now, the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been confirmed by various tech firms. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update roadmap have been detailed by the companies including Android One, Nexus, Sony, Honor, Lenovo, OnePlus and Asus. The new OS version is being received by Moto X Style and Moto X Play.
Some new features are New Chrome feature, Google Now on Tap Feature, revamped app permissions that would change the web experience for Android users, new ways of handling web links etc. Now, Android Pay mobile payment system has become official with Android M, new fingerprint APIs for developers for adding in the apps. There is a new silent feature for vibrate and sound mode as well as ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode for blocking sounds, alarms and notifications. There are some features of battery saver named Doze through which Android devices would be made smart about managing power. Some additions include USB Type-C ports, auto backup and restore apps, new app drawer, adoptable storage devices and new RAM manager.
