An update is being rolled out by Vine for its iOS and Android app versions with the new discovery and audio features. Audio remix feature is among them and in this, other Vine audio tracks can be utilized by the users. For using an audio snippet from Vine video, you just have to tap on 3 dot more button at the bottom of the video and then tapping on ‘Make an audio remix’. With this, users are navigated to the device camera and audio loading bar is also showed alongside. A video is recorded or imported and a Vine must be created with the same audio which is loaded in background.
As part of this update, the new discovery feature would also be offered to users for searching a Vine video using the same audio clip that is downloaded with the audio remix tool. In a blog post, it was also elaborated, when the new audio tool is used by someone for making a Vine, information is displayed for source Vine, just like people use the app for adding music tracks to Vines. This means that the original Vine can be seen from the remake or remix was created.
For viewing the Source Vine, the music note under the video can be tapped and later, a tap must be on the arrow that points right. In addition, the song metadata has been added by the Vine team as an input to search. With this, users would get an ability of viewing Vines using the same audio track that is searched for under ‘Explore’ section. While the availability of the new Discovery features is seen on iOS and Android apps, the audio remix tool is only present for iOS version
