With new Nexus devices and Plans of Google Play Music, an announcement had been made by Google with regards to sharing albums in Google Photos. This is an official announcement and soon the rollout of the feature is seen. However, it is being done in a very strange way.
The idea is very simple here. There are going to be many social events and probably, photos or videos will not be taken at those events. With Google Photos, an album can be shred and other people can also contribute to videos and photos in the album. If you are among the one in the shared album, a notification would be received when videos or new images are added to the album.
Oddly, it seems as if there are some missing here. First of all, commenting or captioning the items in the shared albums is not possible. You cannot like it too. It just for looking and downloading the photos. Additionally, chronological arrangement of these photos is seen and so, if new images are added, it becomes very confusing. There is then a word on Auto Awesome feature, wherein a smile can be added to someone who is not smiling now on iOS.
We are confident that these issues would be sorted out by Google, but guessing how quickly it can be done is definitely not very hard. Hence, we have to always stay on the lookout. Google states that the update would roll out to iOS or Android todayb, but a normal rollout would take time for hitting the device.
