Apple has realized that not all are getting along well with the new Apple TV remote and hence, it gives assurance of making things easy for the users. The company has made an announcement that it is working on an Apple TV remote, wherein Siri functionality would be given on the iPhone.
The senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services at Apple, Eddy Cue states that an iOS remote app would be released by the company for Apple TV in the 1st half of the year 2016. He further added, that this remote app would be replicating the features of Siri enabled remote app that is shipped with the Apple TV.
He stated in an interview that they are working on a new remote app, through which complete functionality of the Siri remote would be given on the iPhone. They hope that the shipping of the same would be done by next year in the 1st half.
Integration of Siri is a very big feature of the 4th Gen Apple TV, that was unveiled by the company in the event in September. The decision of extending this functionality to the app may help in enhancing the experience of the user. The tvOS 9.1 was released by the company through which text input can be fed with the iPad or the iPhone.
Improvements are being pushed by the company to this new Apple TV. With the update, Siri Integration was added to Apple Music on Apple TV. Previously, the feature was scheduled for next year. It would be quite interesting to see how the new Apple TV would be shaped up by these new apps. Tremendous development interest is being seen.
