The Cardboard of Google is a very Cheap VR headset that is available and is a 1st step that can be taken by users in this world of Virtual reality. However, it is definitely not simple to capture virtual reality content. To this end, the Cardboard Camera app has been released by the company for capturing VR photos.
The company puts a stress on the fact that with Cardboard camera app, the smartphone camera is turned to a VR camera and 3 dimensional panoramas are captured. It is explained by Google, that using the app is very easy just like normal camera app. The photo can be taken by users just be holding it and moving it in a circle.
Later, when the phone is placed inside the Google Cardboard Viewer, something new can be experienced, A VR photo, writes Software Engineer or Cardboard Camera, Carlos Hernandez. Notably, even sound can be recorded while clicking images for hearing the moment on which it was clicked.
The availability of this new app from Google is seen for download through play store of Google and is supportive of 17 languages. The size of the app is 33MB and is supportive of Android devices that run KitKat as well as above. During this, around 5,000 people downloaded the app and suggested that the brand new app is being downloaded for VR experience.
Unfortunately, no plans have been revealed by Google for releasing a similar app for the users of iOS. If you don’t remember, the Low-priced DIY cardboard was launched by Google During the Google I/0 Conference last year. At the launch, the company made claims that the Cardboard was an inexpensive VR headset that a group of Google Engineers made in 20 percent time. Since the release, competition is faced from various tech companies such as HTC, Sony, MicroSoft, OnePlus and others.
